Back in the early 1990's a few of our members began exploring the metaphysical paths. At that time, in various magical shops on Long Island, and at Envision Crystal in particular (one of our founders is a long time friend of the family that originally owned the shop-and is long time friend of the current owner as well!), there seemed to be an equal amount of books on the subjects of Ceremonial Magic (which encompass the sub headings of Rosicrucianism-The Golden Dawn-Gnosticism and Masonry etc) and Wicca/Witchcraft. The time was ripe for those interested in both paths. However, Ceremonial Magic didn't seem to appeal to large numbers as its Wiccan sister. Even then you could find, just by asking, a Wiccan group or Coven operating. However, if you asked anyone in a shop if they knew of a Golden Dawn Temple, Rosicrucian Order or any other Gnostic Esoteric Order most would shrug their shoulders! We believe that this disparity was mainly due to there just being no local groups or Orders operating here. Some of us have had to travel great distances over a period of years to obtain the necessary training in order to operate competently, an experienced, highly trained, local Group. All of that has changed. Now Long Islander's have a portal that they may approach in their search for that something 'more'. The Order's featured here on this webpage do exist, right here on Long Island! Cross pollenation and a sharing of knowledge will be possible by those that choose to function in more than one group or Coven. Masons will find that 'something more' they are looking for in the Concordant Bodies, but can never seem to find. Always elusive, hearing whispers in the dark, feeling drawn to it reading books written by Masons of the past.

Some might say "Aren't these Groups/Orders/Covens secret?" Well, the fact that they exist isn't secret. Who is a member is secret. Where they meet is a secret. The deeper Inner Teachings are secret. All of the secrecy is to protect people from persecution that all followers of these paths once endured (There are other more subtle reasons, but we'll leave that until you join us!). Even in our modern age, intolerance rears its ugly head from time to time.

To quote a popular TV show of the 90's "The Truth is Out There". I would say that YOUR Truth is out there. Perhaps this will be the place that sets you on the path to finding it. We hope so. Good luck!
